TriggerFinger was right

The SCOTUS denied cert. He has a round up and David Hardy has more. Seems you have to actually risk going to jail to challenge the law. I didn’t realize petitioning the government for a redress of grievances had to mean risking time in the slammer.

Actually, when “I’m Rich And Powerful” (I’m gonna start a blog series with that theme someday), I want to start a group that solicits people to violate laws I disagree with.
That way the law can be challenged in court and hopefully thrown out. The hook – obviously – is that the volunteer may go to jail. So the project would arrange for financial reward for the volunteer in the event that he is incarcerated.
If you think about it, soliders risk their lives for our freedoms and way of life.
I’m sure I could find people willing to risk their freedom in the form of civil disobedience in exhange for ridding ourselves of bad law.

(Yes, it’s just a wacky idea now and plagued with many “issues”, but it’s in my head.)

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
