Nifty
Defense Review has the skinny on (and lots of pics of) the new Bushmaster 5.56mm Subcarbine/SBR and 9mm. Sweet!

Love Bushmaster, am still hesitant on the Carbon Fiber receivers. I’m sure they’re tough, but I’m not sure if they’re military tough. If not, then I’m not sure the weight reduction is justified for anything other than casual “plinking” use. I examined them at SHOT last year, and while they looked good, the design had had to be changed due to material limitations – raised metal picatinny rails that won’t accept EOTechs, for example. Every time they would explain to me why they changed something on the gun, because it couldn’t be done with CF, like it could be with aluminum, I died a little on the inside.

I can’t get giddy about tiny black guns when I have just inheri-bought a Marlin 336 lever that I haven’t had a chance to shoot yet. It’s sitting in my closet (I’m in an apartment and my gun locker is at my parents’ place) looking all shooty and naked with empty scope rings, taunting and seducing me. (I need to either get some glass for it, or replace the rings with iron sights.)
Now I can be as Badass as Zoe from Firefly!
