Good news, bad news

I watched part of the Tennessee v. LSU game last night. I watched the first half and TN was getting slaughtered. I had do some stuff around the house during the half and didn’t get back into the game until the third had started to find UT had scored. 21 to 7. Then, UT sucked some more and LSU scored a field goal. I got mad, turned it off, and went to bed. Found out this morning UT came back to win. Apparently, they will do well as long as I am not watching. They’re screwed next week since I’ll be at the game.

Dude – seriously, no matter how bad they screw up next week no way they are gonna lose to a Ole Miss team that lost to Wyoming AND Vandy. I mean, come on now.

Perhaps, however, the stadium will be rendered structurally unsound and they will be forced to forfeit the game – I could see that happening under Phil Fulmer’s watch – but not actually losing to Ole Miss.

Also, if Fulmer had gotten off his fat ass and put Clausen in the Florida game, we probably would have won that one too. The Vols only have one problem and its Fat Phil Fulmer – the guy who has lost more important games than anyone else. $2 million a year for the job he does? Geeeze I am in the wrong business.

Clausen was 2-5 for zero yards against Florida. Don’t know if he would have made the difference.

    And then was promptly pulled.

It was pretty clear by the 4th quarter that Ainge wasn’t getting it done. Why not throw Clausen back in?

Your mission, Uncle, should you choose to accept it, is to get my wife and I to a UT game. We’d drive across the state for that. 🙂

  5. SayUncle Says:

I can probably do that. Will check and see.

For bonus points, Saturday, Nov. 12. University of Memphis (which my wife attends) is at Tennessee. 🙂 As an added bonus, you’ll be able to razz us as the Vols completely obliterate the Tigers.

Or the Vandy game, in which case we’d both root for Tennessee.

One of these days I need to do a blog post on why I’m a closet UT fan. The reason might surprise some folks.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
