XM8 Update
General Dynamics and H&K have formed a partnership to develop a replacement to the M16 rifle and M4 carbine for the US military. Spec data for the XM8 can be found here. They really should consider changing caliber to the 6.8MM.

The XM8 fixes everything thats NOT wrong with the M16. It’s an expensive piece of junk.
For the m16: Up the caliber, (more knock-down), float the barrel in a tube,(more accurate and cheaper), drop the burst kit and put in a better trigger, (cheaper and MUCH more accurate), and we would be set for another 40 years.

GD & H&K team up for improvement XM8
Murdoc at,.. um Murdoc speaks a little on GD’s plans to team with H&K on the xm8 project. He comfirms the rumors I’ve heard at the gun shows that we may be dropping the varmint 223 round for at least a more probable manstopper the 6.8 SPC. Howe
