Have to lie to get what they want

Apparently, someone is going to gas stations in Ohio and telling them they need to put up No CCW signs because they sell beer:

There is someone going around (again) to Summit county convenient stores and gas stations telling them that they must post ‘No CCW’ signs because they sell alcohol. The gentleman in question is even nice enough to give the stores the ‘No CCW’ signs free of charge. I have compiled info and supplied it to a couple stores. Upon seeing the truth, they have removed the signs.

Hahaha.. The guy probably plans to come back later and rob them.

I was in El Paso this week on business and it was so refreshing to see signs posted in a couple of places that said, “no firearms on premises” (a telephone company office, oddly enough). Not that I’m against firearms — far from it — but the suggestion that someone might be carrying firearms in the first place and need to be gently reminded of the need to not carry them into a particular establishment warmed my heart.

You don’t see that stuff in California.

OK Andrew, I may just be a bit confused, or maybe I missed your sarcasm, but… Are you saying that you were happy to see signs letting criminals know that they will be unopposed if they want to rob or shoot up a place?

I got into an argument with my HR rep here at my office because we have what I call our “Anti Employee Safety” policy. No weapons of any kind in the office. So I asked her if she believed that when someone cracks and decides they want to kill co-workers that they will stop at the door and say “Oops… forgot we couldn’t have guns here. Guess I’ll just go home.”

These feel good schemes make me sick. Whether this was an anti-gun activist or an actual bureaucrat, it still scares me that people can be this stupid. I mean if they hate guns so much and think this is a deterrent, they should put a sign up on their front lawn that says “There are no guns in this house” I give it a week before they’re robbed and the thieves won’t even have to wait until the house is empty.

Hey Andrew… That fit I just took was not directed at you, just the 1st paragraph. I just got a bit worked up ‘s all. 🙂

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
