I am shocked! Stupefied! Amazed! Dumbfounded!
That people actually still use disks.
My home PC, which I built, has a floppy drive but I haven’t hooked it up. Actually, the last three computers I built, I didn’t bother to hook it up. I would throw it out but then there would be this hole in the front of my PC.

LOL!
Well, I don’t blog from work & so I sometimes type down thoughts in notepad & then save to disk to take home for later use.

That reminds me of the saying about the bandwidth of a station wagon full of backup tapes.

Your thoughts are so voluminous that you can’t e-mail them home?!?!

lol.. disks.. I literally haven’t used a floppy disk in at least two years. Being a Mac user, Apple sorta forced the whole using a disk notion out of my way of life. There’s just simply no need for them anymore. none whatsoever. Most everyone is on broadband these days, and you can transfer data faster via email, or any other medium than you ever could using a floppy. Floppies were agonizingly slow!
