Packing knickknacks and stuff

Me and Mrs. are about to embark on another move. Staked it out today and break ground tomorrow. Check out the new pad we designed:

Nice digs. My only concern is that with the garage so far from the kitchen, unloading groceries is going to be a bitch. I like the master suite, but I don’t like having to cut through the bathroom to get to the closet. But hey, this isn’t my house! 🙂

Any room for storage in the garage, or just for the two cars?

We thought about kitchen thing. But we figure we’re young, we need the exercise. THe bathroom thing isn’t an issue for most people.

  3. tgirsch Says:

Actually, I’ve seen the bathroom thing a lot. If anything, that’s becoming more popular. That’s a matter of personal preference, I’ll be the first to admit.

I’m assuming that the front of the house is the bottom of this picture? How big will your plot of land be?

  4. SayUncle Says:

The bottom is the front. The lot is 210ft by 75 ft.

Nice …Got one question, I’m assuming the baby won’t be staying in one of the bedrooms till they are much older or at leasted they will be wired for sound to the master bedroom? But I like it …

  6. SayUncle Says:

A basonette in the master then those gizmos that let you listen in. It’s sad, we’ve already done the nursery thing here and now we’re moving.

Nice lot size. Does that include sidewalks / easements, or is that just your land?

My lot is quite big for being in the city. 100 x 135, not including sidewalks or easements (add about 9′ to each axis for that… it’s a corner lot). A litle wider but not near as deep as your lot.

    where’s the firing range?

I’d swap the closets in the entry way wall around so I could put my desk where I could look out the window. That way no one could sneak up on me while I was blogging — you gotta leave time to grab your piece.

Seriously, nice house. Congratulations. But be prepared to go out to the build site every day and be a hard ass with the contractor to make sure they do it right.

    Amen to that.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
