NFL and Guns

It seems most NFL players have guns for protection.

If the reporter could put aside some of the usual hoplophobia and ask genuine incisive questions, one of the things that would have been discovered is that athletes have their stalkers too, but for muscular people stalkers present a unique problem.

Which would expose an NFL player to more adverse spin in the media and more adverse treatment in court: beating the sh1t out of a stalker, or shooting a stalker righteously?

I’ve heard of at least one NFL player who has considered the problem and has determined that he’s better off packing. Man-bites-dog (“husky linebacker shoots skinny runt stalker!”) plays better in court and in public opinion.

Can’t say who he is, he’d prefer anonymity anyway, and he made the decision for the only person he’s qualified to: himself.

The NFL is qualified to control my personal safety about as well as Tom Ridge is to run commercial airli—ooops, he already does. Never mind.

Sorry DCasey, the stats back up eric’s assertion, not yours.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
