Three offenders were in custody after an incident at Schrank’s Smoke’N Gun in Waukegan that ended with one offender being shot three times and flown by Flight for Life to a nearby hospital. An employee was also being treated at another area hospital.

I knew a lady who, with her husband, owned an archery shop in the Houston area. Back in the mid 80’s, a ‘disadvantaged yout’ entered the store with the intent of income redistribution. He fired off a shot in the general direction of the counter, to which the wife responded by raising a compound bow with broadhead and drawing it. Disadvantaged Yout raised his firearm, but decided to turn and attempt an exit while holding the firearm in their general direction.
A broadhead through the C1/C2 junction is pretty decisive in stopping a human, y’know? D.Y. found out the hard way.

I used to live about 15 minutes from there and have bought guns there. Schranks is in a rough neighborhood and I’ve seen gangsta wannabees there before.
Everyone who works there carries openly. Obviously whatever rocket scientist decided to hold up the place hadn’t done their homework.
