Gun & Holster Review

Rich looks at the Springfield XDm .40 and the Crossbreed Holster. That holster looks pretty cool.

Looks big’n clunky. The holster, that is. I prefer the MacDaniel II from Andres Leather.

Goes on in a snap, and doesn’t have those butt-ugly plastic hooks. On the other hand, it’s not tuckable, but the tuckability feature is never quite that satisfying in the first place. If I needed a tuckable holster, I’d probably go with the Milt Sparks VM2.

On the other hand, looks like it carries well and the XDm is very interesting. May have to get one some day soon. Maybe for Bag Day? There, I hope that makes me less of a dick.

My wife got me a Crossbreed Holster for my Glock M19 for Christmas. It is very comfortable and I enjoy the fact it is tuckable. She got me the horse hide version.

You hardly know the holster and gun are there.

I will have to get another one for my Delta Elite when my stimulus check comes in.

As for the clips, you can order it with J clips that go down in back of the belt, so you don’t see that much on the outside of the belt.

You can even get a Velcro attachment, but you have to put Velcro on the back of your belt.

I wish someone would make a tuckable clip/loop that was leather where it goes around the belt. Like the Andrews and Sparks belt loops. I don’t like the J-clips either.

I’ve been carrying a steel framed Officers Model in a Crossbreed for several years now. I really like mine; It’s comfortable and conceals easily beneath a loose t-shirt. I prefer snaps to hooks, so I asked for snaps and got them, no problem. I’ll be getting another one soon, and I recommend the Crossbreed to anyone interested in IWB carry.

PS I quit using my Milt Sparks when I got the Crossbreed.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
