Follow the money

Party above principle:

Rep. Carolyn McCarthy may be threatening a primary challenge to newly named New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand over her pro-gun stand, but records show McCarthy donated $1,500 to Gillibrand’s two successful races for an upstate House seat.

She may have taken a seat away from Teh Enemy at the local level, but it’s still Open-Season at the National if the adherence to Party Doctrine isn’t quite right.
They purge the Party ranks of free or independent thinking undesirables by the Central Committee runing a lopsided challenge with the full-weight and funding against their own incumbent. To WIN the Party demands Total Allegiance – and must demonstrate Total Control.

‘I was for the candidate before I was against her’. Or something to that effect.

  3. Wes S. Says:

Gillibrand ought to publicly give the money back, just to rub McCarthy’s nose in it.

Or give it to the NRA in McCarthy’s name, if she wanted to be nasty about it…

  4. DirtCrashr Says:

    It’s Party money either way.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
