NRA caves on holder?

The NRA will not use the confirmation vote on Eric Holder as a score for its national rankings this year, limiting their opposition to the nominee for Attorney General to a letter to members. Erick calls this a “pitiful sellout”, but it looks more like a nod to reality
Pretty much. It is the political reality that Holder will be the AG.

over and over i hear people saying that this needs to be fought tooth and nail… but why get involved in a fight that you know you will loose?

Also, why waste all your resources on a fight that you know you will lose, when you know worse (and more important) fights are on the horizon? The NRA would lose, only to compromise its ability to fight what the man actually does while in office (not to mention Congress).
