Gun trafficking

In New Jersey, it’s all Pennsylvania’s fault as a whopping 15% of NJ crime guns come from PA. So says an article blaming other state’s lax gun laws for NJ’s crime problem. No mention that the top source for NJ crime guns is actually, err, NJ. At least, in the latest info I found. It’s always a trend to blame someone else for your own failures. NY does, Mexico does it, MA does it.

Also:

To help stanch that flow, New Jersey will become the first state in the nation later this month to directly partner with federal firearms officials in pursuing gun traffickers across state borders.

“We’re going to start knocking on doors at the end of January,” said state police Detective Sgt. Eric Barlow.

Don’t forget the average “time to crime” numbers. The national average, as of 2007, is 10.33 years from the date of purchase to recovery and trace.

In MA, only 17 guns (2%) had a time to crime of less than three months.

WRT the guns coming in to MA from 2A-friendly New Hampshire, there were 93 traced back to NH while 316, more than three times as many, originated in-state.

I’m STILL trying to get ANY anti-gunny to provide me a study which refutes the findings in this one:

Now why would you get a gun in Pennsylvania and then go to NJ to commit a crime with it? Hmmmm? Why not go ahead and do the crime in PA? Or would it be to take advantage of gun laws that disarm your victims and keep them that way?

Yeah, and the Cuban government blames the U.S. for Cuba’s poverty, the Palestinians blame Israel for their poverty, the poor blame the rich, the American Left blames “deregulation” for the economic downturn… I think I see a pattern here.

Just blame George Bush…….that or God, I mean it has the same effect- personal rage with very little to show for it.

I wonder how many of PA’s crime guns originate in NJ? Surely not an insignificant number, since they are right next door. If the trade goes both ways, then it can hardly be blamed on PA’s gun laws, but simple geography.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
