Whither Posse Comitatus

The US Marine Corp to aid in DUI roadblocks? That’s frightening.

“We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.”

Sorry to sound all “predator-drone-ish”, but this gives me the vapors when I smell that new weird odor.

  2. Rustmeister Says:

Yeah, sending “military advisors” is how we got mired in Vietnam.

God help us if we get mired in California.

  3. Micheal Says:

Gee, what is next, “may I see your papers” at the state line. It is getting crazy out there folks.

  4. Jeff the Baptist Says:

They must be doing these close to China Lake or another base in San Bernardino County. If they catch a serviceman in the net, then they can immediately hand them off to the MPs.

The military can be used to police us, but “we can’t militarize the border” says the President and, I’m sure the next one will agree. I read that this military-civilian thing is the brainchild of Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Obama agrees. Can we say….NO CHANGE!!

All these CFR globalist traitor politicians love their police-state. And you can be sure you want here this reported on the mainstream (CFR) media unless it’s an in-your-face report that it’s all good.

I followed this story and the tinfoil orgy it produced on ARFCOM. This is nothing more than Shore Patrol around 29 Palms.

The Republic is not ending, gun confiscations are not imminent, Zombies are not rising. You may stand down now.

As a Marine I’m beyond angry at this. This is yet another example of why I’m not going back in. I can understand the concept of them being observers and seeing this as a training exercise for pulling off checkpoints in Iraq. That said, checkpoints in Iraq and California are different creatures. Besides, there are plenty of Marines with experience running checkpoints these days.

The bottom line is that if they’re there observing fine, but if they’re in uniform then they are wrong — PERIOD.

The average American sees a Marine as one of the most trustworthy characters in our history. In the event this is more sinister than I’d hope then that trust and confidence is being taken advantage of.

I just hope this is all just bad judgment on some airheaded officer. Normally I’d say that was the case, but when one considers the homeland security Army brigade in tandem, I just don’t know anymore.

Either way this is unacceptable. Whether or not it was intentional, the end result is not just getting the public desensitized to being policed by the military, but it also desensitizes the military to policing civilians.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
