Feeling the HopeyChangey

Twist arm behind his back, cuff him, and arrest him. For having the audacity of wearing a McCain/Palin shirt. Via SIH.

I’m sure the Brownshirts, er I mean cops will argue he did some other offensive thing to warrant being arrested.

    Which is, of course, bullshit.

The fascist state marches on…the BOR never has faced more jeopardy.

Welcome to Barak der fuhrer Obama’s Amerika folks. And he aint even taken office yet!

  5. ATLien Says:

Hmm…two teachers (who were disciplined, btw) told children not to say his name. I’m sure the kids would have been ARRESTED for saying it, too.

Yep, that’s exactly the same, Metulj…jackass.

That does it. I am reporting you to my local ObamaThought(tm) Cadre. The BidenIdeology(tm) Commissar will be investigating your case. Expect to be picked up when it is least expected. Don’t make me have Bill Ayers hit you with a chalk duster.

  7. Dan Says:

Obama so far seems to have done more to rape the constitution than the Empire under Bush/Cheney/Oil executives.

  8. Manish Says:

The cops asked the guy to leave, and he didn’t and they arrested him. Generally speaking, its not a good idea to not do what the cops tell you to.

Having said that, you are right in that anyone should be able to go to these rallies. Though having said that, the cops generally have opposing rallies separated so as to minimize trouble, so in that way, I can see how they might have wanted this guy gone.

  9. Manish Says:

yes, Obama personally ordered the cops to get arrest this guy..pretty powerful, seeing as right of this minute he’s a Senator from Illinois. This of course compares to holding people without charges, torture, violating the Geneva Convention, signing statements, etc.

    Manish:

There you go thinking things through again. Don’t you know that’s counterproductive when you’re trying to score a cheap partisan point?!?

  11. Lyle Says:

“This of course compares to holding people without charges…”
As in all other wars everywhere.

    “torture…”
Who was tortured? When? I want this person’s name.

    “…violating the Geneva Convention…”
With entities who never were signatories to the Geneva Convention? What sense does that make? Do you expect to be held to contracts you’ve never signed? The GC was never intended as a unilatteral declaration. It was an agreement between signatories. Regardless, prisoners of war anywhere, any time, have ever been treated as well as right now, under the U.S..

    “…signing statements, etc.”

What? Presidents aren’t supposed to sign statements?

Anyhow, I thought Obama supporters were all about tolerance and unity and all that ignorat BS. Lets see some tolerance and unity before we come to any conclusions about it being even half true. So far it’s mostly intolerance and divisiveness coming from the Left. Silencing opposition is a long-standing tactic of leftists everywhere. It won’t get any better either. Now that they have Congress and the WH, you just watch and see. If I’m wriong I’ll eat crow (but I’m not wrong).

“yes, Obama personally ordered the cops to get arrest this guy..pretty powerful, seeing as right of this minute he’s a Senator from Illinois. This of course compares to holding people without charges, torture, violating the Geneva Convention, signing statements, etc.”

Yeah, because things like the first and second amendment are nowhere to be found in the constitution, but things like putting panties on people’s heads, getting terrorists wet, and ‘signing statements’ are against the constitution.

When Bush threatens my rights like Obama will be doing (or has if I lived in Illinois), then you have a case. But like Obama’s promise of post-partisanship, you have nothing on Bush.

And to correct you yet again, I never said anything about the cops at that rally. They should be reprimanded, at the least.

  13. Guav Says:

I can’t believe the audacity of Obama to personally order that man arrested for simply wearing a McCain/Palin shirt! Police never overreact and wrongly arrest people unless ordered to do so—and we all know who calls the shots for the Philly PD: Illinois senators! Next thing you know, he’ll be cramming millions of Jews into ovens.

“First they came for the McCain t-shirts, and I said nothing, for I did not own a McCain t-shirt …”

  14. Someone You Know Says:

    Say Uncle and Everybody Else,

    I agree with Manish.

The Police will try to prevent large-scale violence. Heck, they probably saved the guys life.

  15. straightarrow Says:

SYK, what does that say about Obama supporters? Enough said.

  16. Lyle Says:

“The Police will try to prevent large-scale violence. Heck, they probably saved the guys life.”

Maybe. In which case they roughed up and arrested the one victim and left the gang of perpetrators alone. If that’s all they can do I suppose it’s better than nothing. Or is it?

Apparently the BPD brownshirt squad arrested some Obamabots. So I guess there’s some sort of cosmic balance at work.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
