NRA Con Gun Porn

Airforce Air Gun’s Talon SS. It’s a suppressed air rifle:

Couple of ARs from Yankee Hill Machine, who I highly recommend. I use their forearms and flip up front & rear sights.

Hey, thanks Uncle. I’ve had a lot of Europeans emailing me about high-powered air rifles. I’m going to steal your picture too.

A supressed AIRGUN? Sorry, I didn’t think that was possible, since a suppressor, by definition, is fitted to a FIREARM. Unless your State definition of firearm has air-expelled or some such wording in it, airguns are not definable as firearms, and legally, can’t be fitted with suppressors, which work only with firearms.

Leastways, that’s my take on it as a retired cop who had to know this stuff.

Because of its caliber and velocity, the Talon would be considered a firearm in Illinois. But also, under current ATF policy, a suppressor is independent from the weapon to which it is attached. If it can suppress the sound of a gunshot even by a few decibels it is taxable/registrable/restricted even if it is not fitted to a post 1898 gunpowder weapon. The Talon might avoid the federal issue if the “suppressor” is so integral to the air rifle that it could not possibly be attached to any other firearm.

And BTW, air gun suppressors work well with piston air guns. They are mostly not worth the trouble on pre-compressed-air guns.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
