Unless, they’re planning on putting up metal detectors or patting downcustomers on their way into the store, they’ll never know who is and who isn’t carrying. Only way they’ll find out (in perfect world where no one accidentally lets their CCW piece show) is if a customer has to use his or her gun to prevent death or bodily harm against themselves or another. In which case, screw the rules. Let Costco kick them out of the store after they save a life or two.

    Idiots.

  2. Heartless Libertarian Says:

Neither of the two Costco stores near my house has any signs saying ‘No firearms.’

If it’s corporate policy, they’re sure law about it. Of course, one of them has Sportsman’s Warehouse across the parking lot. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Our brand new Costco is the only one in the country with a hunting department. Mostly clothes, decoys and such, however, I talked to the manager about selling ammo (mentioning how much I buy at the local Wal-mart) and he did not seem to think it was out of the realm of possibility.

For the protection of all our members and employees, we feel this is a reasonable and prudent precaution to ensure a pleasant shopping experience and safe workplace.

Safe from whom? It boggles the mind.

  5. AGPILOT Says:

Unfortunately, in Texas it is a class A misdemeanor to tresspass with a firearm. Meaning you loose your CHL for most likely 7 years.

  6. AGPILOT Says:

I probably wasn’t clear enough. In Texas if a business has a legal “NO HANDGUNS” sign up you have been effectively & legally notified & warned not to come in with a firearm and if you do you are tresspassing. The offense is enhanced to a class A misdemeanor because you tresspassed with a firearm in your possession. Your CHL will be revoked for 5 years after the end of the penalty which is usually 2 years for a 7 year total.
Why enter a “victim zone” if you don’t have to? Turn in your membership card and tell them why and take your $$$ somewhere else. That is the only language they understand.
BTW, there are supposedly 80,000,000 or so gun owners in the US. If every one of them would give just $5.00 per year to a pro-gun organization that would be $400,000,000.00 to fight against tyrannical gun grabbers. How about $5.00 each per year to 5 different pro-gun organizations? $2,000,000,000.00 (yes that is two billion $) to preserve our freedoms!!!!

Texas and Arkansas lawmakers are mostly posers. They don’t really believe in 2A, but they don’t believe they should seek honest work, either. Therefore, place so many restrictions, traps, and pitfalls in the way that mostly what is accomplished by obtaining is CCW permit is to help them compile a gunowner registry.

Neither allow open carry, and the rules for concealed carry make a permit mostly useless, unless you are in another state with reciprocity and better judgment.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
