The narrative is that the big ol’ mean NRA was influenced by the Russians in supporting Trump. The reality:
In a letter to Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden, the NRA said it took 23 contributions – mostly membership dues – from Russians or Americans living in Russia, totaling about $2,500.
Everything else is speculation.

But how do we know that the NRA isn’t working with the North Koreans to develop ICBMs with MIRVs capable of hitting targets in the U.S.? How do we know that they aren’t involved in the child slave trade? Hmm? Can they prove they aren’t? You know how this works; if they can’t prove that they aren’t, then we must assume that they are, for it is only prudent err on the side of caution lest we allow the most egregious crimes to be perpeteated with impunity. Isn’t that how criminal justice works now?

The American left used to love Russia, or maybe it was the Soviet Union– the Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics. They wanted unilateral nuclear disarmament to appease them. They were horrified and demonized Reagan when he called them, “The Evil Empire”. They loved it when Clinton was chummy with Boris Yeltsin, when Obama leaned over when he thought he was off mic and said, “tell Vladimir, I can be more flexible after my re-election”, when Hillary had her “reset button” and claimed to have been in “Putin’s inner chamber”. Whaaaat happened?!
Oh, and now if Trump and others want better relations with Russia, they’re NAZI’s–the National SOCIALIST Workers Party??!! Sounds more like Bernie Sanders and his followers.
