And he walked right through that restraining order . . .

And got shot and killed.

If he was slapped with a protective order, how’d he get a gun? That’s unpossible!

I’m having a hard time with this. Why would this go to a grand jury?

This is a good opportunity to wait until another shoe drops. From the report it just seems to me like a case of “King, this case is closed.” (Sergeant Preston)

If the report is all there is to it then the sheriff should have bought her a glass of wine on the way home just to cool her nerves.

”Twas the NFL that ultimately kilt him. Domesticated violence, and all that, you know. Can’t prove it of course, except that this tragedy happened in the midst of the regular season. We should probably make them wear more hot-pink uniforms.

This GUN VIOLENCE has got to stop!!! Oh, ummmm, hmmmm, never mind.

  5. The_Jack Says:

The restraining order will be helpful evidence on a self defense claim.

So there is that, quite useful, value.

    Glenn:
In many jurisdictions, any killing automatically goes to a grand jury, regardless of the circumstances. If a person was attacked on tape by Osama bin Laden, Hitler, and Stalin, and killed them all, it would go to a grand jury.
I don’t know the law in Tennessee, but it’s quite possible that a “no true bill” by a grand jury is necessary to forestall a civil suit by the grieving relatives of the good boy who was just turning his life around.

Kasper, that’s a neat site. It was lacking some details though, so I added “Wife Beater” as his occupation.

Of course the Progressives would rather the woman be dead at the hands of the scumbag than see her use a gun to defend her life. No doubt they’ll put this down in the statistics as “gun violence” to further that cause.

This is an excellent demonstration of the insanity of Progressive thinking. The husband had a restraining order. It did nothing. It was illegal for him to carry a gun. That didn’t matter; he had one anyway. It is illegal to assault someone. That doesn’t matter; he did it anyway. He had been charged with assault before. Doesn’t matter; that didn’t stop him from doing it again.

Progressives HATE the fact that we have the right to keep and bear arms in self defense and defense of liberty, and yet the woman’s exercise of that right saved her life and stopped a predator for good.

Marriage; ain’t it wonderful? For extra points, Class, tell us how so-called “love” turns to murderous hate. In this scenario, that phrase which defines total commitment to one’s spouse, “…till death do us part”, takes on a sinister character.

    Good for her!

Ravenwood, your addition got deleted, if you can believe it. So I re-added it. I know they’ll delete it, but I don’t care.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
