I had the (not-Heizer) Doubletap .45, which was actually a neat gun. It didn’t like hard(er) primers so I didn’t feel like I could ‘trust’ it as a last-ditch defense pistol, but it was an interesting design.

I’ll take my slightly wider, and most defiantly better at managing recoil PM45.
Plus it’s straight blowback….haven’t we gotten past that crap for major calibers?

The Ruger MkII has the barrel under the guide rod. Then there are those like the Vz.52 what have the barrel as the guide rod.
With the barrel axis lower on the hand, there’s less muzzle flip. Most hammer guns look clownishly high to me, but this one looks more reasonable.
If it’s reliable I totally approve.
