I’ve got one AR with a Burris 2-7 and a 45 offset Burris FastFire on it that’s been working well for me for a few years, and another with a Nikon 2.5-8 EER with BDC and no offset sight that I’ve been experimenting with. So far, despite having to hang it on a rail I’m liking the EER Nikon and don’t miss the offset red dot, although I’m still learning how to use the BDC. But…..I haven’t given up on dots: sometime this year the Dueck Defense offset irons are coming off the Heavy Metal AR-10 that also carries a 4-12 Leupold and getting replaced with an offset Aimpoint 2 MOA micro because Mother Nature has been telling me for a while now “irons aren’t for old eyes.”

Huh. I just built another parts gun with a BCM upper, and stuck a PRO on it; after hearing that you, Tam, and Mosby all like that M-Tac so much, I almost feel like I screwed up.
To be entirely fair, though, this is a lightweight build to tote in the woods; our property is infested with feral hogs. I haven’t actually run into any since I started toting a firearm, but having been treed once is plenty.
