Good grief’; don’t ever use a camera-mounted flash to take gun photos! Blech. I’ll just consider you dumb, and dismiss most of everything you say because if your dumb enough to use that flash, and post such shitty photos, you’re dumb enough to say and do a lot of other dumb stuff. I know you have other sources of light, so don’t try to make excuses because that too would be dumb.

Excuse me for not being a photographer. I used to be a mechanic and apprentice gunsmith before I broke my back.

If you discount what I’ve written simply because I am not a trained photographer, you have an overly inflated sense of self worth.

    Mark,

Did you at least contact SOG and complain? I would definitely contact them over this. It clearly isn’t what it says it was. If they refuse to make it right via some sort of refund/discount/coupon on another purchase, then I’d write them off. Most places would prefer to make the customer happy before letting him spread bad news about their business.

I bought a brand new Sturmgewehr in 5.56. I opted for the titanium receiver, since it’s so much lighter, and paid the extra $20 for the select fire version. Since it was made in China, it was only $300 with shipping. Due to the new gun laws, I had it shipped directly to me via Gunbroker on my C&R license. UPS left it in my garage, so it was waiting for me when I got home from work. Recoil is still minimal with the titanium receiver due to the 5.56 round, and it’s surprisingly controllable with the 100 round drum magazine attached, though I did use the optional wheels the magazine came with (those clever Chinese!). I was happy to add it to the other 462 guns in my collection, though I might have to get a bigger gun safe now.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
