Back in my day

ARs looked like something the Clampetts owned. Thank God for rails.

My screw driver is boring too.

Tools that are perfect for the task at hand, that are totally reliable, well made and fit the hand that use them are supposed to be boring.

What you carry should be boring. Why you carry is the source of inspiration.

“The Surefire light has proven durable and effective, but is expensive and limits additional accessorizing.”

Thus meeting the marketing criteria of being a product people want, which when obtained decreases use of competing accessories. Win-win!

My Gen3 Glock has a rail. If I ever use it I will be very surprised or will have won a lottery. In which case I will be very surprised.

    I have 3 ARs.

Only one has any rails, and there IIRC only on the top, because it’s an M4-gery.

(The other two are a AWB-era A2 and a 7/8-assed copy of a Colt Prototype, with the AR-10 style in-carry-handle charging handle.)

    I don’t think I’m an Operator and I don’t do 3-gun; I don’t need cheesegraters all over my grips.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
