Kangaroo Carry

Via Oleg, comes these holsters (warning video auto starts). Sort of set up like a shoulder rig, which I’m not a fan of because I don’t want to have to draw it with my arm up or muzzle myself. What say you?

  1. Old NFO Says:

It’s a variation on the old dropped shoulder holsters from the 30s-40s now in cloth rather than leather. I’m with you though, don’t like muzzling myself.

  2. Weer'd Beard Says:

as a fan of shoulder-carry, all you need to do is clear the garment high, or cross your support hand over to your primary shoulder while the gun clears your body to make for a very natural draw.

Also that 2nd method also brings the holster around to your drawing hand.

Nothing is perfect but there are a lot of advantages to shoulder carry.

  3. That Guy Says:

I’ve had one for several years. It works OK for DEEP cover. Like times that the wife MAKES me tuck in the shirt. Not fast to get to, but it does conceal well.

The 5.11 Tactical undershirts are the same thing, but are much warmer.

I ordered one; life is risk, and I adjust my carry condition to accommodate my carry method already.

  5. Renegade_Azzy Says:

Some of us with different body shapes would have to make some odd motions to not sweep parts of our leg on draw, especially from something close to the waistband.

Now go to my wife, who needs this more for when she is in a vehicle, this is preferred to her sitting on a pocket pistol that she cannot reach when needed.

  6. Tam Says:

    No.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
