NSSF calls for expanding ATF budget

To speed up processing of NFA stuff. I say eliminate the NFA branch and do NICS.

I’m torn on this. Yeah, the NFA branch should be eliminated. But that’s not politically feasible. I think someday we can get suppressors, SBRs, and SBSs off the NFA classification- certainly within the next ten years.

But I like to look at the CCW movement- they took what they could get to expand CCW, and then worked to remove restrictions later. In this case, yes, let’s expand the budget for dealing with NFA forms because that will get more people invested. And then we can use that support to remove them from NFA classification.

The key to eliminating the NFA is to expand the effected constituency. Long transfer times are a key factor in the slow growth of the NFA community. Thus, decreasing NFA wait times will act to expand the NFA market, which in turn will make it that much easier to eliminate the entire system.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
