So-called “relisting” is not only common, but means nothing.
If it makes you feel better, they deny most cert petitions on first glance. The fact they are holding this one over for consideration means they are actually putting more energy into it than 85% of other cases (note: I made up the 85% metric because I was too lazy to look up the relisting stats, but the idea remains the same – we are not denied outright).
Even so, the road to cert is long and hard. They have denied a bunch of other cases. Hopefully this one will be different.
I don’t care about the outcome anymore, I just want the answer. If the answer does not meet my expectations, we will mercilessly pound the congress until we win. We got more people than they do.
