In other news, the FBI has an art division

So, a man gathers indian artifacts throughout his life and is raided by the FBI just to see if laws are broken.

    Fucking thieves!

Follow the money – be interesting to find out who narc’d on the guy. Why do I suspect it was some “achidemic” who was asked(or volunteered) to help catalog/evaluate the collection?
How ’bout a rousing chorus of “theft under color of law”?

“…illegal to posses privately.” Who determines this? What are the criteria? What if my ancestors (some, in my case, Cherokee) pass down to me objects that our Benevolent Masters have decided I’m not ‘allowed’ to have?
“…Miller might have acquired some of the items before the passage of U.S. laws or treaties prohibited their sale or purchase.” So, we apply the law retroactively to confiscate his legally-acquired property? What might YOU own that the government can take, by the simple expedient of declaring it illegal? Precedent, you know…

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
