NFA transfers: 15 months to approval

Reports a poster at subguns. There’s no reason these shouldn’t be more than a NICS check.

  1. USCitizen Says:

Form 3’s (SOT to SOT) are running about the usual time: 3 weeks or so.

  2. Tom Says:

I’m at 7 months and counting on a suppressor. #GovernmentEfficiency

  3. Cargosquid Says:

Actually, you could have stopped at: “There’s no reason these shouldn’t be.”

  4. HL Says:

I waited a year for my last can…a didn’t get it til this past Feb. I imagine it has only gotten worse.

  5. Tirno Says:

I’ve had my paperwork for a suppressor in since March. The ATF sent the form 4 back to my private seller last month because he hadn’t filled in the “barrel length” field. Nothing else wrong, just a failure to mark N/A.

  6. Crotalus Says:

Of course there’s a reason sub guns should be far more than an NICS check. Henry Waxman said so.: “The fact that these people would use these weapons to fight for their rightds, make me very nervous that they have weapons at all.”

    Politicians prefer unarmed peasants.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
