His problem was calling the VA for any kind of psych issue.
The VA person asks if there is a gun in the house, he says yes, and then she SWATs the poor bastard.
If it had not been in DC, the veteran would have merely gotten a 24 hour watch in a local hospital courtesy of the VA overreacting.
Never tell anyone you are armed … gun owners are the new Jews as far as the bigoted left is concerned.

I’ll be surprised if his dog survived the encouter. Pretty sure it’s SWAT SOP to kill at least one pet, just to “get the point across”, or something.
