It’s kinda moot in California, particularly in the region mentioned because for the most part, NOBODY is allowed to carry, concealed or otherwise. Anywhere.
The prohibitions in effect aren’t exclusive to the School, they’re everywhere throughout the BayArea – which is a Democrat dominated, Single-Party Rule region.

+1 DirtCrashr. But also we should note that if this happened in America all victims were of legal carry age, and I suspect this school wasn’t the drunken frat mills the anti-rights jerks always fearmonger about if we let legal guns on campus.

Is “carry” really relevent?
Does California law prevent private property owners, college or otherwise, from authorizing individuals to be armed on their private property?
If not, then “California law” isn’t to blame for this.
If it was legal for the school to allow employees, or even otherwise lawful-to-possess students, to carry/possess on their property then -only- the school’s policy is to blame, as transport to and from the school is still lawful, even in California.
