I was born and raised in Charlotte. My older brother dropped out of UNCC.
His summary opinion of the place was that if the administration would just leave the pot-smoking students the hell alone, instead of sending in undercover police to make pot busts in the dorms, it would be a much better school to attend.

I never understood why we had armed cops on my college campus. All they did was write parking tickets. Seemed like the money could have been better spent putting another regular cop on the street.

Clark County, NV school system has its own police force (marked cars and all) and have purchased AK 47s (so I’ve been told by someone in the know). Guam recently opted to have a security force present in the schools. Being armed or not was the subject of some discussion between a judge, the legislature, the school board and maybe the school administration. Absolutely asinine, all of it.

That’s UNC-Charlotte. When you refer to a university as the University of North Carolina, people take it to mean Chapel Hill.
