You know what I do before I visit another state or another country? I find out if I can legally carry my knife. There have been cases where carrying a knife has been illegal, but I did it anyway … with the full knowledge that if I was caught doing so by the authorities, my troubles would be because I chose to disregard the law, not because the law had the temerity to exist.
It’s the responsibility of anyone who carries a firearm to know where they may and where they may not carry their weapon. If they don’t do so, they are an idiot, and if they do so, but ignore the law, then I have no pity for the predicament they may find themselves in.
It’s called personal responsibility.

I don’t disagree with your approach. But lots of people aren’t as diligent in their research. I’ve also discovered I am banned in California.

Uh, Cyrus Vance, Jr., “Mayor-for-Life” Mickey Bloomburg’s City Equivalent of Attorney Corporal Eric Holder, had a big Dog and Pony Show not long ago about how they were going to shut down the Evil Knife Distributors unless they “Ceased and Desisted” with their Murderous Knife Trafficking.
I believe he targeted Home Depot.
The Irony is, the Sullivan Act only came into being because Big Tim Sullivan was tired of his Political Enemies shooting at HIS Political Street Thugs, so he disarmed the entire City so that he could have Total Power.
But in Mayor-for-Life Bloomburg’s case, even if HB 822 passes into Law, he’ll just issue an Imperial Edict through his Paid-Off Judges to Ignore it, and it’ll have to make its way to SCOTUS, and even then, he’ll Delay and Deny just like D.C and Chicago is doing.

When is someone going to ask the obvious? Who is orchestrating all of these events so that NYC can be pounded in both the courts of law and the court of public opinion. Hell even NYC types are starting to ask WTF is going on in their “fair” city.
