Hmm, let me take a stab

What’s wrong with this picture?

It’s not at AmericanRifleman.org? It’s copyrighted material that you’re using without permission? I’m not really left-handed?

Having written a few articles professionally, I can say with certainty you can’t always get an ideal tacticool or even good tacticool photo unless the stars are aligned or Oleg Volk is crashing in your basement. And it’s not to show any thing other than, hey, this light will light up your entire hallway. Oh internet, the things we argue about.

And I liked how it turned out.

Update: Oh and I know the answer. It’s that I’m using it as a flashlight after I just told you not to do that.

Update 2: The comments are the best part. Seems if I illuminate beige carpet with a LED light, it’s not flattering. And, not being a girl, I don’t hire interior decorators. And the hand rail for my kids that they asked for means we’re midgets.

Good crowd.

It’s Farago. Manufacturing controversy is what he does for a living.

  2. Shootin' Buddy Says:

There’s a laser on your pistol giving away your position.

Take off laser, smash with framing hammer, mail tacticool toy back to maker.

  3. Weer'd Beard Says:

You have a legitmatly popular blog that you built from the ground up, and you help the bloggers who give you content rather than stealing from them.

Yeah he’s a troll. Why else do you think Mikeb302000 is one of his authors?

  4. Les Jones Says:

Meh. That blog seems to have a bunch of readers who belong to the sneaky ninja school of home defense.

That’s the one where you walk around in total darkness and shoot at noises, hoping you’re not shooting family members.

I’ll admit some misgivings about pistol-mounted flashlights, but flashlights in general? You definitely need those if you want to see things in the dark.

  5. Beaumont Says:

@Les: More like the “snarky mall ninja” school. And they flunked out.

  6. Linoge Says:

Ahh, good ol’ Robert Farago… Stealing other gunbloggers’ content, manufacturing controversy, and stabbing folks in the backs for the gos-se and giggles of it.

The good Lord loves that man, ’cause…

  7. RipRip Says:

ah come on the cat comment was good!!

  8. SayUncle Says:

True. It’s a good way to train attack cats.

  9. Bubblehead Les Says:

Gee, you’d think a Goblin seeing a Flashlight Beam and a Laser Dot would get the idea that if he steps to the bottom of the stairs he’ll soon be dead. So said Goblin decides to run away. No one killed, no going to court, no lawsuits, everything worked out well. And that’s considered Tactically Unsound because…?

  10. Weer'd Beard Says:

And if the goblin goes towards the light and laser, one could argue that he was LOOKING for a scrap.

I know I say my house alarm isn’t to protect me, its to protect the bastard that breaks into my house.

If he sticks around my house with that ear-splitting klaxon wailing I can consider him at BEST dangerously irrational, at worst, looking to do harm to us, the occupants.

  11. SPQR Says:

Is it too late to organize a real boycott to replace the nonexistent one that got his dander up?

  12. DirtCrashr Says:

I’m just surprised he didn’t steal someone’s “My First Car” picture and post.

  13. Weer'd Beard Says:

Well Farago couldn’t steal a REAL “My First Car” post, as his first car could NEVER be a Vega, or a Pinto, or an Omni. He must ONLY drive cars that are mid-engine and made by people who hate gun rights as much as he does!

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
