Let’s not forget when MTV famously censored “indo” (slang for pot) in the Snoop Dogg song “Gin and Juice”, but left in “rollin’ down the street […] sippin’ on gin and juice.”
So pot isn’t okay but drunk driving is. Gotcha, MTV.

Small favors: they don’t play “classical.” Imagine what a bore the Overture, 1812 or Wellington’s Victory would be with all those aural holes.

I’m old enough (shudder) to remember Dr. Dre and Warren G videos on MTV that not only mentioned guns, but SHOWED them.
