NRA, gun manufacturers and the Gun Control Act

Discussion on involvement here, here and here.

The way I’ve generally heard it spun is that you should have seen the law that would have passed if NRA hadn’t been involved. For instance, DC’s gun laws were (loosely) based on the original National Firearms Act. So, that’s how bad it could have been. I guess.

One Response to “NRA, gun manufacturers and the Gun Control Act”

  1. Lyle Says:

Geeze. My intent was to get people thinking of the dangers of government and business working together– of the anti liberty incentive system that it creates, and that therefore trade should be substantially insulated from government interference, in favor of human rights. In a broad, general sense that is. It seems the point was not well made.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
