A look inside their tiny minds

Anti-gun group Coalition to Stop Gun Violence calls for the police to raid a gun blogger’s house because he made his son eat dinner. And accuse the father of child abuse. No, really.

These people are insane and clearly outside the mainstream. Check out the last comment here.

Your trackback is the last comment, Unc.

Why the bleep would the pro-gun blogger post anything about his private struggles with his kids? Seems like asking for trouble. And this ‘child abuse’ crap is going way too far. Our kids used to get taken to restaurant bathrooms and spanked for getting out of line in public. Both are still alive. My lib sister quit teaching because the kids were out of hand. When I pointed out that lib policies led to that she was puzzled.

What Larry said. Over-sharing on a public blog is a bad idea. Unless you want busy bodies in your business, don’t share personal things with strangers.

Maybe a civil case for malicious prosecution????

  5. Tango Says:

While I see the arguments you say about sharing personal data… to me it’s the same as “You got illegally arrested for open carry, it’s your own fault for trying to stick out like a sore thumb. Doesn’t matter that it is the police that broke the law and not you.”

I’m proud of my kid just as any father is. I don’t post names on purpose. I don’t post personal details except basic activities. I watch my kid grow every single day, so letting those that read my blog know how things are going is just something I like to do to make sure they’re able to follow along. Some like it, some don’t, but the only real opinion on what I post is my own. I will continue to post small details about my son growing up right alongside of my posts about 2A and RKBA. They’re the things most important to me and I will speak of them.

I should not be punished for being proud of my son. They SHOULD be punished for publicly lying about what’s going on and misrepresenting facts, presumably to the police.

Smart/not-smart are not the same as right/wrong. If you leave your wallet on the seat of your unlocked car, it wasn’t “right” for someone to steal it. It also wasn’t “smart” to leave it there.

    Spot on Tango…Spot on.

  8. Ted N(not the Nuge) Says:

@larry and dirty: So, what you’re saying is, he should chill out with that freedom of speech thing, he’s getting a little crazy there. 2A stuff is fine, but ya better not post about your kids on your own space. Am I getting your message right?

Classy. Way to blame the person getting attacked.

@Tango, sorry the scummy antis are making a scummy effort to drag your kids into this. Gah, they’re disgusting people(the antis, not your kids).

  9. DirtySig Says:

No Ted, that’s not what I said. You are putting words in my mouth. He can put his SSN or naked pictures of his wife on the net if he wants and that’s fine by me. Just don’t be surprised if someone takes advantage of that to cause you trouble. It’s not hard concept to understand.

  10. John Smith. Says:

Hell being on the net itself is a bad idea. It leaves you open to all sorts of abuse… Net security is like an honest politician.. An illusion we create for ourselves… We all still do it anyway even though there is an excellent chance something negative will come from it…..

  11. Mr Evilwrench Says:

Sinner! Just give up and admit you’re a bad person and unfit parent: if you let the kid not eat, that’s starving him and is neglect, if you don’t let him not eat, that’s abuse. Madness.

  12. Weer'd Beard Says:

I’m with Ted N. There is no excuse for stalking nature of the antis, and their complete underhanded behavior.

Also as somebody who was cyberstalked by an anti they will dig thorough anything and everything to personally attack you. One anti pulled my name off an old Newspaper interview I did for a private business I was volunteering for. I know others who have been stalked because of facebook information. Others simply because they clicked over to an anti-gun website and they traced the IP info.

I’m the same as Tango, I don’t post under my real name or give specific personal details of my life…doesn’t matter some dick found me anyway ant attempted to make some threats. It didn’t pan out, but it was NOT fun.

So the point is not what Tango posted or didn’t post, the point is Anti-Rights Activists are creepy stalkers and trolls across the board. ALL OF THEM, just some conceal it better.

  13. junyo Says:

Just because you have a right to do something doesn’t mean it will/should be consequence free.

But that’s another discussion. To the point of this post, if what that guy did is child abuse I should be able to haul my mother in front of the world court for crimes against humanity. Liver and onions… the horror, the horror.

  14. Bob S. Says:

I would buy the whole “not smart” argument if Tango had done something even remotely close to being wrong.

    That isn’t the case.

He simply talked about getting his kid to eat. There are thousands of “mommy blogs” out there were the same type of post have been made.

Going to tell them it wasn’t smart to talk about how they worked on getting their kids to eat?

It is a completely spurious argument to even get into. Tango did nothing wrong and the anti-rights cultists are trying to smear him.

That is the crux of the issue and anything else is garbage.

  15. Bubblehead Les Says:

Aren’t these the same kind of ….”Humans” that have no problem forcing kids to eat the School Lunch Menu in Chicago?

  16. ATLien Says:

the people attacking this guy for parenting are too stupid to live.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
