I’m actually surprised something like this hasn’t happened sooner. The Critical Mass folks are known to be assholes, since the whole point of their protest is to shut down traffic. And people behind the wheel have been known to suffer road rage. Not a good combo.

They should not be banned…. there should be background checks, waiting lists, fees, loaded chamber indicators, 21 year old age restrictions, permits needed to take it outside your home, fuel capacity restrictions, and public lists of who owns these death machines.
Oh, and posting “car free zone” signs will go a long way too.

Well now that I know this was a Critical Mass ride, I’m more inclined to believe the driver. They have a history of attacking people in cars who dare to use the road at the same time as one of their rides:

Small dogs can be pretty nasty, too. Once when cycling with a friend, a Dachshund ran out and tried to catch him. Realizing the threat, my friend simply pedaled harder and left the Dachshund behind. I was coming up on the weiner dog pretty fast, and the stinker turned broadside to me. I could not avoid him, and went a$$ over teakettle as I broadsided him with my front tire. He ran off unhurt, I broke my wrist.
So perhaps one could release a horde of Dachshunds into the peleton of Critical Mass riders and enjoy the hilarity that ensues.

Finding out who the riders are, all I can say is “LOL” and there is consequenses to your actions. Maybe these people should try train tracks next.
