Many years ago, hopefully past all applicable statutes of limitations, I babysat the toddler aged child of a family friend. It was a lovely day of my toddler daughter and their toddler son playing in the yard and eating snacks and napping. Then I got out the glowsticks.

Toddler boy loved his so much I let him carry it around the rest of the day. He basically shook it and stared at it and tossed it away only to run squealing to retrieve it. It glowed quite enough to be a fun indoor toy for an entire afternoon.

His mom came to pick him up around 5pm. I was welcoming her into the house just at the exact moment toddler boy managed to chew the end of the glowstick off, covering himself with smelly glowing goo. I reassured mom the stuff was not particularly toxic and proved that the goo was water soluble by scrubbing him clean within about 10 seconds of seeing him smile, ghoulishly glowing. She seemed reassured at the time.

Last time I ever babysat for him for some reason.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
