Why the internet sucks

I was unable to watch Top Shot live and recorded it on the DVR. But I already know how it ends. Damn bloggers and facebookers.

What was the deal with Caleb? I missed that part. Just caught the last 30 minutes or so.

  2. SayUncle Says:

dunno. i just know how it ended.

  3. wizardpc Says:

Thats okay. If you’d watched it live, History Channel would’ve ruined the ending for you. Right before the elimination challenge, they showed a promo for next week’s show that prominently featured one of the contestants in the challenge.

So, unless you’re an idiot (or didnt notice), you knew the outcome before the challenge started.

  4. Jeff the Baptist Says:

Yup, that was the feeling I got when I caught up with Google Reader this morning as well. I’ll still watch it though.

  5. Blake Says:

I’ve caught those promos before that virtually ruin the outcome of the current show. Gotta love that planning.

  6. Diogenes Says:

The “high school crap” typical of reality TV is in full swing. Totally chaps me to see adults act that way. I’ve got a feeling that a certain remaining contestant is gonna’ get lots of hate mail from former Marines. IMO, his actions and comments did not represent the Corps well.

I seriously doubt that I’ll watch another full episode. DVR and lots of skippage to follow…

  7. JD Says:

Sorry Uncle, tried not to post anything myself until this AM.

Watch it anyway, was a good show.

Am a bit bummed that the Survivor BS is coming into play so soon. I thought from the first few shows that things would be more grown up in dealing with the contest. Guess not. I hope that SOB gets voted out next. . . what an ass.

  8. SPQR Says:

The more I watch the show, the more I hate it. And the little twerp they have as a host is pretty annoying too. I keep thinking that if I was on the show, at the “nomination range”, I would put a round from the Beretta ( a Beretta of all things ) into his ankle.

  9. Diogenes Says:

The more I watch the show, the more I hate it.

Agreed. Originally, I tho’t it would give us good exposure to the non-shooting public. Now, not so sure – if they perceive shooters as whiney, immature back-stabbers; can that be good??

You could always choose to avoid the internets until you watched the show.

  11. Rivrdog Says:

Some marriages are NOT made in heaven. “Top Shot” is less about shooting than it is about the canned “survivor” format the idiot producer stuffed it into.

The bad thing is, that the show makes all the serious gunnies who appear on it seem neurotic, and mixing neuroses and guns makes the public edgy.

One hopes that this is a flash in the pan, and it dies a merciful death after this season.

  12. PawPaw Says:

I can tell you how they all end. Someone wins a shoot-off and someone else goes home. This isn’t a shooting show, it’s a Survivor show. If you’ve seen one episode, you’ve seen them all.

  13. Jerry Says:

+1 to RiverDog and PawPaw, I once had a Popaw of my own. He was an Army Scout in WWII, you can’t begin to believe the stories. But, as I get older, well… Audie might have been braver, if that’s a word. He would tell of how he was a scout,(Purple Heart, 3 leaves.)but his second was in deep shit. They would let the first man through, then it would start. It’s a lot like the A. Lee story, but from the OTHER side. The things those young men went through, deserve our respect. That’s what hurts me the most. No, that was not the better generation, but it was a very good one. We should learn from their mistakes, and maximize on our own knowledge. This CAN be a better country, and we don’t need the.gov to tell us how. We need to do it, and prove to our enemy, that they were mistaken. Being murdered by an illegal immigrant, is not my idea of a good time. I do not want to move to the border, but, if it seemed obvious, I would have to do so.

  14. Jerry Says:

By the way, it IS very hot, down there. A lot like a desert.

  15. John Hardin Says:

If you have On Demand, the last few episodes should be viewable for free whenever you want.

  16. Linoge Says:

*sigh* At this point, it is almost not worth watching…

And I do not mean just this week’s episode.

  17. Randy Says:

I’ve been really disappointed in the “Survivor” aspect of the show. I was expecting a shooting contest, not a pissing match.

  18. Ian Argent Says:

I had to avoid facebook and chunks of my google reader till I caught up

  19. Patrick Says:

Yeah, I saw on one of my daily blogs “Caleb’s last shot” which kinda pissed me off. I reviewed the episode but you would have to go to the very end of a two page review to find out who lost. You had to want to see my spoiler… LOL My title is always the name of the episode..

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
