Be prepared

I’ve been thinking it. Haven’t heard anyone else mention it. But here’s what I think about the Times Square bomb attempt. Presuming that the event was not attempted by someone with the cunning of Wile E. Coyote (which is possible), I think it may have been a trial run. Do it small. See the response. Adjust. Even if the guy got the fuel oil part done right and the other bomb type stuff went off, I don’t know that this would have been particularly devastating.

So, New Yorkers, be on the look out.

I could be wrong, of course.

Yea, ignore the muggings, murders, gangs, petty thieves, thieving politicians, obscene cost of living, and high taxes. There might possibly be another attack, eventually.

  2. Weer'd Beard Says:

Actually I’m more concerned if he hadn’t made the mistake he had made with the Propane FAE.

That could have been VERY serious, at least to the people on the streets and behind plate glass windows.

  3. Paul Says:

Looks like a ill concieve plan at best. I mean, igniting fireworks as your “primer”, come on. I built better bombs in high school. (way more than 7 years ago) As for testing, I would put that high on the probabilty list. Send in the second string and see what he does before sending in the remaining a-team.

If nothing else we continually short change the Taliban on cunning. They continue to hit the soft underbelly.

this could be a very interesting summer.

So, New Yorkers, be on the look out.

HAHA thanks dude, we’ve been doing that for like nine years now 🙂

  5. dustydog Says:

I gotta disagree. I think they train people and send them out, hoping for a terrible blow against the great Satan (much like most liberal arts colleges). I think he had help, but in the sense of ‘why can’t you follow these instructions, you moron’ emails and money, rather than a crack team of ninja terrorists.

If he were a test case, he wouldn’t have been caught. He was sloppy on top of sloppy. Occam’s razor says he was a throw-away trainee.

He put together a bomb because he has a loser with no girlfriend. Crazies who want to impress a girl go shoplift, riot, vandalize closed properties, attack disabled veterans and senior citizens. Crazies who have no friends or only other dateless loser friends dream of building bombs and shooting up gun-free zones.

  6. John Says:

dusty, I agree with you up to your last paragraph. The moron is actually married with two kids.

  7. The Duck Says:

Well you are not alone on that line of thought: http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2010/05/05/kt-mcfarland-times-square-car-bomb-dry-run-al-qaeda-suicide-bomber/

  8. Johnny I Says:

    Word.

  9. Ron W Says:

But still, our supposed enemies could be anyone (probably someone opposed to the healthcare bill according to Mayor Bloomberg) so officialdom keeps allowing and even facilitatiing the immgration of Islam into our country. Their solution–attack the Bill of Rights and focus on selected American citizens as the enemy.

Our enemy is the hi-jacked government in Washington D.C. along with other criminals in state and local officialdom.

  10. Drang Says:

I think if it had been a trial run, it would not have been in Times Square. OTOH, maybe they changed the trial run to Times Square because they unexpectedly found parking.

  11. Guav Says:

Ron, how would you prevent the “immgration of Islam” into our country?

  12. Veeshir Says:

The fireworks was the weak link.
As I read somewhere, maybe he thought he had M-80s but had the far wimpier M-88s or whatever he used.

Once a year I go to my sister’s in Ohio and get some deluxe-type fireworks, one year I got some of those thinking they were M-80s.

They’re just fat firecrackers that aren’t very, if any at all, better than your average firecracker.

So he might have thought he had an illudium Q-38 but didn’t so no Earth-shattering kaboom.

  13. Guav Says:

The weak link was the fireworks. And that the fertilizer was non-explosive. And that the pressure release valves on the propane tanks weren’t disabled. And that he was totally incompetent.

  14. Jerry Says:

Either a trial run, or a smoke screen. Apparently, he’s blabbing away, in custody, right now. Not much of a martyr, if you ask me.

  15. milquetoast Says:

Did he get a permit for the fireworks to be in accordance with NY state law?

  16. Mr. B Says:

Me, I think that the evidence shows that this was a false flag operation.

Or then again, the LEO’s must be REALLY REALLY incompetent.

    http://middleoftheright.blogspot.com/2010/05/was-it-bureaucratic-ineptitude.html

  17. Jerry Says:

The LEOs didn’t see him coming. It isn’t a gun or bomb thing. It is an IT thing. International Terrorism. This young man needs to be put back on the plane we took him off, with a good explanation of why, and a note detailing why he can’t return. If it comes back, we should kill it.
Terrorism doe’s NOT impress me, the stupid little prick is a moron. Let THEM have him back. Let THEM deal with him.

  18. Ron W Says:

    Guav,

Stop allowing them in. Stop importing them in. They can’t attack us unless they are given aid and comfort by those two ways! Did our government allow Germans and Japanese to emigrate during WWII. NO!!

Of course, our timid, appeasing government (under both Bush and Obama) won’t even name an enemy and didn’t Constitutionally declare war or issue a Letter of Marqui–Article I, Section 8, I suppose that allows them to escape the exact definition of treason which is giving aid and comfort to the enemy in time of war (Article III, Section 3) Since they didn’t name an enemy, nor declare war, the Patriot Act made all of us the enemy while Islamic holy warriors are allowed easy access and our borders are left open.

Our real enemy is in Washington D.C.!!!

  19. FDR Says:

” Did our government allow Germans and Japanese to emigrate during WWII. NO!!”

Seriously. How cool were those internment camps? Totally a great idea! Let’s put everyone we think is a threat into a camp.

  20. Mikee Says:

Hey FDR – I’ll compare US internment camps any day of the week with those the Germans set up in Poland, etc., during the same time period.

I must conclude from inter alia) the lack of crematoria in the US camps that our purpose was not quite as nasty as that of the more subtle, nuanced, worldly-wise Europeans.

  21. Paul Says:

Good thoughts all. I’ll leave you with one. How is it the FBI lost fizzle in Conn, but then “found” him on an aircraft taxiing to take off?

I think assets where in play that should not have been used. I am all for catching the perp, but if we have to break laws to catch him, I am for letting him go.

the law broken was Posse Comatotius (sic).

  22. Ron W Says:

    FDR,

I absolutely oppose any thing like internment camps, because they were used on citizens in gross violation of rights….just as I oppose the Patriot Act which is used on Americna citizens. I was talking about allowing immigration from Islamic countries. There is NO right to emigrate to our country IF they say we are in a war on terrorism.

  23. Ron W Says:

Actually no IF’s on immigration, there is NO RIGHT to emigrate to the U.S., period! But the traitors in our own government persist (no change) in allowing and expediting the immigration of the very group from whence comes the enemies who use terror as a tactic and which allows for communities in which they can find “aid and comfort”.

Since they SAY we’re in “a war on terrorism”,the continued facilitation of immgration from countries from whence Islamic terrorists come amounts to treason according to Article III, Section 3 of Constitution to which the traitors took an oath.

  24. Guav Says:

Ron, when I asked how you would prevent the “immgration of Islam” into our country, I didn’t mean for you to just reiterate your claim that it should be prevented, but rather, HOW. That is to say, how do you ascertain the religion of someone?

Your idea is totally unworkable for several reasons, not the least of which that you can’t figure out someone’s religion just by looking at them.

Race is not an indicator, because most Muslims aren’t even Arab or Middle Eastern, they’re Asian.

Dress is not an indicator, because most Muslims don’t dress “islamic,” and many of the types of dress we equate with Islam are cultural, not religious.

Blanket bans on immigration from “Islamic countries” is stupid for a number of reasons, not the least of which because there are very few countries that are completely Islamic (are there any?)—most of them contain millions of people who are not Muslims, but Christians, Jews and other sects. Then you have the issue that every nation, even the western “Christian” ones, have millions of Muslim citizens—some are even white!

And of course, your totally ridiculous, unworkable plan in no way would prevent homegrown Muslim radicals from committing terrorist acts.

There are 1.2 BILLION Muslims in the world, and probably only a couple thousand that are actually committed extremists willing to carry out terrorism against us. Alienating the 1.2 billion people who are best able to assist us in finding and defending against the few thousand lunatics is totally self-defeating.

Faith of all kinds, and especially extremism, is just an idea, and you can’t prevent ideas from moving across borders.

  25. Mike Gallo Says:

Arabs and other middle-easterners ARE asians.

  26. Guav Says:

Oh stop being pedantic haha … you very well know what I mean—in this country, when someone uses the word “Asian” they are describing someone who in past days would be called “Oriental,” not someone from Pakistan.

  27. Ron W Says:

    Guav,

It’s very workable. There is just not the will to do it among the traitors. Their plan is to fight unconstitutional wars in Islamic countries and attack our rights here. I think the global interventionist policies of waging war IN ISLAMIC countries is far more of an alienation.

Yes, the actual holy warriors are a minority, but they find aid and comfort in the relatively recent deliberate, large cale importation of Islam into our country. Treason is the reason.

And if they ever want to impose their faith on you, jsust tell them you support moving thier ideas across the border and….well, follow your leaders and, ah capitulate.

  28. Guav Says:

    It’s very workable.

Then you should have no probably explaining precisely how.

  29. Ron W Says:

For example, after the Gulf War thousands of Iraqui paricularly from their military) were brought to the U.S. and re-settled in various cities around the country. That’s the direct importation of Islam. Why do that!!??

Instead, do the opposite, don’t bring them here, and institute a policy that anyone who attempts to enter our country from any Islamic country is not allowed…which should have been announced and implemented on Sept 12, 2001.Check those from international flights or however they come and detain them at ports of entry to be returned from whence they came. Also use whatever means is necessary to secure our border except for lawful ports of entry….like we’ve been doing in Korea since 1953. Use our military to “protect the States against invasion” (Article IV, Section 4) rather than be deployed worldwide to fight unconstitutional UN wars.

But once again, this is anathema to the traitors, puppets and/or agents of the international banking cartel, who’ve hi-jacked government through the last several administrations. They’ve propagandized well, Guav, to have people like you believe that it’s not possible, or even desirable, to protect their own country according the wording of the Constitution.

  30. Guav Says:

Are you being deliberately or accidentally obtuse? I haven’t been “propagandized” to think it’s it’s not possible to “prevent the immigration of Islam,” I’ve just sat here and used my head and thought about it. And I don’t see how it’s remotely possible to keep a FAITH–an invisible idea–from crossing borders.

I already pointed out how banning all immigration from “Islamic countries” (which countries, specifically, do you have in mind?), would not prevent Muslims from being able to immigrate here from countries not on your list, but you’re just ignoring that.

In fact, I pointed out several reasons your idea is not possible, and you haven’t addressesd a single one of them.

  31. Ron W Says:

    Guav,

I described how we SHOULD limit entrance to ports of entry and screen those who may or may not. (Re-read #29, 2nd paragraph.) Put TSA on itat our ports of entry at aiports), instead of screening us!! Abolish the unconstitutional BATF and DEA and put’em on the Border Patrol with the authority and means to “protect the States against invasion”….the same way they keep you and me out of some OUR government installations.

People have ideas…like killing you, blowing you up or cutting your head off if you don’t agree with them. JUST AS YOU SELECTIVELY CHOOSE WHO COMES IN YOUR OWN DWELLING, SO WE SHOULD DO THE SAME WITH OUR OWN COUNTRY. (unless you have an open door, whosoever will may enter attitude)

But treasonous globalism and multiculturalism among those at the highest levels of govenment trumps defending our own country and instead makes us the object of their instense screening.

  32. Guav Says:

    Then I direct you to comment #24, paragraphs 5 & 6.

If we instituted your idea, we can certainly “prevent the immigration of Muslims and non-Muslims from a list of countries Ron has yet to designate” (waiting to see your list), but like I said, that still in no way would “prevent the immigration of Islam into our country,” which is impossible.

And you’re apparently incapable of proving otherwise.

  33. Ron W Says:

“If we instituted your idea, we can certainly “prevent the immigration of Muslims and non-Muslims…” –Guav

Yes, I agree with you that we can prevent the immigration of Muslims and non-Muslims…exactly what I said. Thanks, Guav

I wouldn’t be concerned about a relatively few Muslim people who are citizsn and already here or a few choosing the Islamic religion, but not the open borders and govenment resettlements of large numbers of people we have had and still have.

Even better, with the so-called “war on terrorism” and the criminality from the globalist tratiors in Washington D.C., we need to reverse course and have obedient public servants who will “protect the States against invasion” (Article IV, Section 4, U.S. Constitution) and have something like a 10 yr, moratorium on immgration into the U.S.

And then stop fighting illegal, unconstitutional wars in Islamic nations…which is a great way, as you wrote, to keep “Alienating the 1.2 billion people who are best able to assist us in finding and defending against the few thousand lunatics is totally self-defeating”

  34. Guav Says:

No, exactly what you said, which is what I initially questioned and said was impossible, was that you wanted to prevent the “immigration of Islam” into our country, which you cannot do by merely preventing immigration from a small handful of countries.

Glad to see you’ve realized that.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
