Misandry

Why are anti-gun activists so sexist?

Meanwhile, a look at all those “Guys With Guns“.

Indeed: women are fast becoming our most passionate advocates.

Time for one of my favorite quotes – Teresa Nielson Hayden: “Basically, I figure guns are like gays: They seem a lot more sinister and threatening until you get to know a few; and once you have one in the house, you can get downright defensive about them.”

    Reasoned discourse alert!

I “fanned” their Facebook page and left this comment:

If Starbucks makes a policy that law-abiding citizens cannot carry their guns in their stores, then only criminals will carry guns in their stores.

Yeah, that makes sense! Disarm the citizens, make Starbucks into a target-rich environment!

Then I was going to leave another one with some sign suggestions:

Here’s a sign you guys could carry:

“I am an unarmed citizen. I cannot defend myself should someone attack me!”

    Or how about:

“When under attack and seconds count, the police will be just MINUTES away!”

Here’s a clue for you folks, I am not a “Guy with a Gun” (sexist much?), I am a woman who carries a gun because I take responsibility for my own self-defense. If I go into a Starbucks, no one would ever know that I have a gun on me, not unless I were to be attacked. That holds true for the vast majority of law-abiding gun owners who carry in public. Not so much the criminals that would pay no attention to a sign or law prohibiting guns.

    Think about it ….

But in just those few minutes, my first comment was deleted and I was blocked from commenting further! Yay for the 1st AND 2nd Amendment!

Something went terribly wrong with that copy/paste … but you get the gist of it.

Oh, and I finally got my carry piece … I chose a Bersa Thunder 9 UC. We’ll get some pics for your gun porn and chicks with guns collection soon. Gotta wait until my mom goes home, she gets a little freaky around guns.
