Because we don’t talk about Mexico enough

The president of Mexico issued some demands for US gun laws:

* Ban on semi-automatic rifles
* Gun owner registry
* One gun-a-month
* Enact Mexican gun laws in the United States

Obama blames the US for all Mexico’s problems. Of course, we know the issue is grossly overstated.

David Hardy looks at factcheck.org’s analysis:

The other possibility is that guns not traced to sale in a particular State include guns not sold in the US at all, but exported. In 2007, American manufacturers exported 10,530 handguns and rifles to the Mexican Ministry of Defense. Think the cartels have enough money to get their hands on as many as they want?

    Mexico doesn’t even have proper control over it’s own police and military and they presume to tell Americans how we should act?! How preposterous! How absurd! How ridiculous! These fools clearly have no idea who they’re messing with!

  2. Huck Says:

    Who the hell is Mexico to think that they can dictate how we run OUR home! They need to get their own country in order before they make suggestions about any other country’s laws!

    And since they’ve been a “independant” country for almost 200 years and are still as fucked up as they were at the beginning, that aint gonna happen.

  3. ATL Says:

    The idea of Mexico demanding anything from us is laughable. What are they gonna do, cut off the tequila? PUHLEESE! They better be glad we don’t mine the border!

    I have some demands for Mexico.

    1) Set up a society that allows upward movement. Stop keeping peasants.
    2) Allow them to exercise the right to arm firearms.
    3) Build a wall on your side of the fence. You have all the laborers. Save them a trip.
    4) KISS MY ASS.

    MG, they know exactly who they are messing with. And they are just apt to succeed because too many of us are too pragmatic.

  6. Matt Groom Says:

    They think they are messing with the Bush and Obama administrations, but Presidents don’t run America, they just represent America… badly. If Calderon wants to pull anything ganky, we’ll pull on him first.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
