Guns in the press

In Memphis, Firearms Experts Offer Advice for First Time Gun Buyers.

Now, you or I may take issue with the advice. But it is more important to note that something pro-gun is running in the press.

Racking the slide on a pump shotgun can be good or bad. It gives away your location. Jack.

  2. Laughingdog Says:

My favorite is the advice to use birdshot in a shotgun because it won’t penetrate drywall. Sadly, heavy jackets can have a similar effect.

Hell, I think Cheney gave us the best proof that birdshot is not an effective self-defense round.

  3. Hypnagogue Says:

Revolvers never jam? Wow, then I must be something special – the first person to ever have a revolver jam. Maybe I should start a blog.

  4. mike hollihan Says:

Actually, this was on a local news station. The Memphis Commercial Appeal would never, ever run something like this.

  5. Dan Says:

If the person was smart to begin with, they would not be robbing houses. But oh well, a lot of the article reminded me when I bought my first handgun. The fear, excitement, and wonder of the vast amount of handguns I was open to thanks to my NY conceal carry permit. And how it took me months to overcome the fright of carrying a round in the chamber, even though the gun had both an external and magazine safety.

But I am happy it was a gun friendly news story aboot guns.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
