But 3D printing will lead to blood in the streets

Of course: ARFCOM USER MAKES WOODEN AK
I have my doubts. Everyone knows people who lawfully carry guns are just itching to shoot someone.
Due to budget constraints, a town to close the police force.
We hear cries there will be blood in the streets any time some place liberalizes their gun carry laws. And it keeps not happening.
Remember how people (including DC attorneys) said if Heller goes for the good guys there would be blood in the streets? Not so much: D.C. homicides, in national trend, hit lowest level since ’64
Robert: A week among several thousand people with assault rifles, copious ammunition, knives, et, et. Nobody controlling them except their own culture, the gun-nuttiest of the NRA-assault rifle, camo-clad gun nuts.
No, Ketchup.
Violent crime is on the rise. Readers here knew that. And we knew why: . . . release of large numbers of prisoners were in part responsible for the rising crime. But The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Ownership blames those evil guns.
It’s been two years since Missouri passed shall issue concealed weapons laws. The results: Police say crime has not dropped since residents began to legally arm themselves. Neither does the number of unjustified or accidental shootings appear to be up. Few officials can even recall anyone with a permit firing a gun, deliberately or inadvertently. […]
The AP: Seventy police officers died in the line of duty in the first half of 2005, down more than 11 percent from last year, law enforcement groups reported Wednesday. The decline was attributed in part to increased use of bullet-resistant vests, which have helped bring fatal police shootings down 36 percent over the past […]
No blood in the streets from the expiration of the assault weapons ban. And in Michigan, CCW hasn’t lead to blood in the streets either.
A man steals a rifle from a police car (don’t they lock those things?) and starts shooting at people in a neighborhood: A stolen squad car and gun rampage has the King County sheriff’s office scrambling for ways to keep their weapons from falling into the hands of crooks. Folks here are still shaken by […]
Just stepped out for a bit, fully expecting to see blood in the streets and hear machine gun fire since the Assault Weapons Ban just expired (a day earlier than I thought, it’s like an early Christmas present). I was disappointed, there wasn’t any.
Another case of concealed carry law going into effect and, well, nothing happens. No blood in the streets, no wild west gun fights. In fact, the number of people applying for them was actually half of what was predicted.
In Illinois, after they passed carry permits, nothing happened.
The doom and gloom cries from the anti-gun folks that the expiration of the politically incorrect looking err assault weapons ban would lead to unmitigated violence and blood in the streets don’t seem to have materialized: The number of murders dropped by nearly 6 percent in the first half of 2004, an indication that a […]
QOTD: We got up this morning and, lo and behold, the streets were not filled with criminals carrying menacing looking “assault weapons” raping and pillaging the nation despite the expiration of the ineffectual, so-called federal “assault weapons” ban.
Illinois passed licensed carry and everyone predicted blood in the streets. But, as is always the case, nothing happened.
People said there would violence and murder and blood in the streets if we allowed guns in parks. Three years later, an amazing thing happened: nothing.
A year ago, a push was on in Ohio to allow concealed carry in bars, like most states have. There was the usual calls that there would be blood in the streets and murders and drunken shoot outs and on and on. You know, the usual hysteria we expect. And once again, all that stuff […]
Clayton Cramer: I need every example that you can find where opponents of shall-issue laws claimed that there would be murder, mayhem, increases in road rage arguments escalating to gunplay, and so on, that you can find. Here’s a list of ‘blood in the streets’ and here’s one of ‘wild west’. That’s a good start.
Remember there would be blood in the streets, drunken shoot outs, mayhem, death and a loss of tourism if Tennessee removed the restriction on guns in places that serve alcohol. Well, like every other place to do that, nothing happened. Via NSH.
In VA, gun crime drops at restaurants after law allowing carrying restaurants. But they told me there would be blood in the streets and people would stop eating out.
Wisconsin looks to become 49th state with a concealed carry provision, governor expected to sign. Tam notes the narrative: And so, year by year and state by state, the CCW reform movement spread across this fair land. And each and every time, the local media would chant the same old litany, almost as if they […]
A year ago, a lot of anti-gunners and editorial boards (but I repeat myself) were saying there would be blood in the streets and shootouts at the OK Corral if Tennessee removed the prohibition on carrying guns where alcohol was served. But, like sensible people predicted, it didn’t happen. Even the local press is taking […]
First, an editor comes out and admits all his prior yammering on “blood in the streets” with respect to gun laws was wrong and unfounded. And he changes his mind on the issue. And now this observation: I learned that people who are deathly afraid of firearms and wouldn’t dream of handling one, much less […]
Since the law removing restrictions of handguns in parks, an amazing thing happened. Nothing. Whenever prohibitions on carry are loosened, there’s always calls that there will be blood in the streets and violence at kids’ soccer games. But it keeps not happening.
Blood in the streets, fathers killing other fathers at little league games. Wait, none of those doom and gloom predictions happened.
That guns cause crime: I mean, guns were all over most every state capital this past week, and nobody busted caps, so what’s your problem? You keep tearing at your hair about this blood in the streets that keeps not happening. For heaven’s sake, get a grip on yourselves, okay? Everyone with a gun is […]
So says the WaPo: Violent crime has plummeted in the Washington area and in major cities across the country, a trend criminologists describe as baffling and unexpected. But I thought there was going to be all this blood in the streets in DC after the Heller case? They told me so.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
