Bump stock at SCOTUS
The court denied cert for one case. Gorsuch seemed game for more:
To make matters worse, the law before us carries the possibility of criminal sanctions. And, as the government itself may have recognized in offering its disclaimer, whatever else one thinks about Chevron, it has no role to play when liberty is at stake. Under our Constitution, “[o]nly the people’s elected representatives in the legislature are authorized to ‘make an act a crime.'”
I’d tell that to the millions of bureaucrats who make up laws every day.

Trump’s one gimme to the antis has begun its journey to being reversed on Constitutional grounds. Probably come up for final rule after the next PDJT appointment to the bench.

Don’t forget that he only took that action after it was approved of by the NRA.

Seems like just about everyone agrees with the SCOTUS Miranda decision, when it comes to “pleading the 5th”, but it decided more:
“Where rights secured by the Constitution are involved, there can be no rule making or legislation which would abrogate them.”
― Miranda v. Arizona (384US436)
So not only “no rule making” , but even “elected representatives in the legislature” can NOT abrogate ANY Constitutional right by “making the act (of refusing to give them up) a crime.”
