So, a gun turned in as part of a gun “buyback” turned up on a gang member killed by the police. Ah, the conspiracy minded in me wonders if police were making extra money on the side or is it a drop gun?

Many living near Sodom on Lake Michigan have long believed that the gun buy back problems are dirtier than the day is long. I would love to see BATFE pursue this thoroughly and produce some gun running convictions, but my guess is that they won’t.

I’ve lamented a gun or two I sold and wanted to buyback. But how does anyone buyback a gun, or anything, they never owned?

A Slate article about the California “ghost gun” that the school shooter used claimed that according to the ATF, 30% of CA recoveries are now unserialized homemade. I wonder how many are buyback zip guns?
