Defense distributed news

Seems a judge told the State Department that their response to a lawsuit is unconstitutional.

It’s amazing how many morons sit on the bench.

  2. SPQR Says:

Its an incoherent opinion, holding that the gov’t can’t settle lawsuits.

  3. Mike Says:

The Federal government decided to drop a case on the (correct) grounds that the First Amendment prevented them from enforcing such a law, and an idiot who got a law degree out of a box of Cracker Jack decided that didn’t fit his notion of how things should be.

“It is unconstitutional to not violate the First Amendment!”

Last I checked the Executive branch has the authority to set foreign policy (with approval from the legislative branch if it involves formal treaties). All this administration did was decide that publishing these files was not a violation of their foreign policy and leave it at that. I am wondering what the judges rational for this decision is?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
