Figured we’d have seen this sooner

A 3D printed auto sear. I’m guessing the one made from a coat hanger would last longer.

Looks like something that’d be trivial enough to make out of aluminum, with hand tools (in a pinch).

    Funny, that.

It’s like the actual technology for the BRAP!!! isn’t difficult.

Theres a guy in prison now who used to make–and sell–aluminium strips with 3 of the necessary 4 bends to make this kind of thing. As far as I know, he was the first one to figure out the coathangar trick but wasn’t using a coathangar.

Again….he’s in prison now…so don’t try this at home kids.

The better alternative (if properly licensed) is the lightening link. Jack.

With 3D printing it’s never about making something that is better, it’s about making something that anyone can make without any special knowledge.

The current state of 3D printing is expensive and/or finicky, but already a $180 printer is not too difficult for a hobbyist to setup with some youtube assistance.

Give it 5 years and all of these 3D printed guns and parts will be printable out of the box.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
