I have long had a simple policy when entering Seattle: four spare magazines.
It’s not because I think I’ll need it on a day to day basis. it’s not because I think, if there is a need for a self-defense situation, I’ll need more than one spare magazine.
It’s because when the SPD loses control of a situation, it’s frequently because they are politically hamstrung. When they lose control, they aren’t getting it back any time soon, and the Seattle ‘protesters’ become fire-setting, window smashing mobs.
The situation is not always well publicized or with significant prior general notice. But the traffic in Seattle is pretty good on May 1 because most companies in the downtown corridor arrange for their employees to work from home that day, to the greatest extent possible.
