I wish companies would focus on business and not virtue signaling
Wal-Mart is going to stop selling handgun ammunition and short barreled rifle ammunition (whatever that is). Also, they’re asking folks not to open carry in their stores.

We have a Smith’s here which is a branch of Kroger and I’ll open carry there if I so please. The druthers of business management does not over-ride State Laws and Constitutional rights.

Well, .22 is long rifle ammunition. Everything else is probably short rifle ammo.

What about hunting ammo? You know the citizen disarmers tell us that they only want to ban guns not used for hunting. So they gonna sell long gun rounds, 12 ga and .308? Maybe they don’t know both are used by the military. I guess they will need to wait for a newsworthy mass murderer to use those rounds.
Back in 1966, a mass murdering shooter at the Univ of TX tower used a scoped bolt action rifle. If I recall correctly, it was a .270. I suppose they will need some deep state patsy perp to rehearse something like that, so that your “hunting rifle” becomes a military sniper rifle that “has no place on our streets”. Oh wait, what they mean is citizen hands because sniper rifles are used to protect the ruling elites.

uh huh – and I have a Ruger PC Carbine (9mm), a Hipoint (40S&W) and Rossi Win92 clone (357Mag). Oh, and an M14 (select fire 308) and an AR PISTOL – in 300BLK. Guess which ones I can still get ammo for at my local wally world?

In a subsequent statement, the geniuses at Walmart clarified that “short barreled rifle ammunition” means cartridges like .224 Valkyrie, which we all know is highly optimized for SBRs. ::facepalm::
